Young Adults & Womens Assistant

I was born in Columbia, Maryland but raised in Allen, Texas (Go Allen Eagles!). Growing up in a Christian home, I accepted Christ at an early age, but fell into a pattern of rule following and being morally “good”. I did all the right things, being super involved in my church’s youth ministry, leading younger students in small groups, getting the “best grades”, anything that made me look and feel “good”. When I began college I was blessed with wonderful friends who pointed me to Christ as my Savior, rather than someone I could impress. My freshman year of college marked a clear shift in my relationship with the Lord because it became more about pursuing Him first, rather than following along with what I was “supposed” to do. I still struggle with sin daily but have the utmost confidence that the Lord knows, sees, and loves me, calling me HIS child.

I attended the University of Arkansas (Woo Pig!) where I discovered a love of coffee shops, the outdoors, and Spotify. I came to Fort Worth when I began a graduate program at UTA for my master’s in social work. I only knew a few people upon moving and those friends went to Watermark, so it seemed like the best logical choice as I was searching for a church here. The Lord has been so sweet in my time at Watermark. I got plugged into community, seeing truly how beneficial it is to live in authenticity among God’s people. I began serving in Kids Ministry, discipling and pointing kids to Christ. Upon graduating from graduate school, I worked as a school social worker at an elementary school in FWISD, loving and serving alongside a phenomenal group of kids and families. I never would have imagined being on staff at a church, but am so excited to have the privilege of continuing to love kids, families, and leaders. Some of my favorite things include: tacos, live music, sloths, quoting the Office and traveling to new places!
